Artistic Director, Dr Daniel Fardon

​

Daniel Fardon is a British composer, musician, and educator based in Hackney, London. Daniel's work has received various awards including an Ivor Novello Award and the Royal Philharmonic Society Composition Prize. His music has been broadcast on BBC Radio 3, and commissioned and/or performed by internationally acclaimed ensembles including The London Symphony Orchestra, Birmingham Contemporary Music Group (BCMG), The Britten Sinfonia, The Schubert Ensemble, and the Carducci Quartet. Daniel's music has been performed in a range of venues, such as The Wigmore Hall, St John's Smith Square, LSO St Luke's, and the CBSO Centre.

                                                                           Olivia Kilmartin

​

Olivia has lived in Hackney for more than 40 years. After a degree in music and a career in music publishing, she became a school librarian in her fifties, working in two Hackney secondary schools. Now retired she combines her two passions, nature and music, playing the cello, singing and volunteering for local environmental charities.​

Gina Fergione

​

Gina began her career as a choral singer and scholar. Since then, she acquired an eclectic vocabulary of musical styles ranging from Medieval to Contemporary music. She performs in operas, concerts, choirs, art and multi media collaborations throughout Europe. She also composes and is a co-director of the Stoke Newington Contemporary Music Festival. She teaches and conducts community choirs in London.​

                                                                           Dan Watson

​

Dan Watson is a communications consultant and a keen amateur double bass player. Formerly a trustee of music charity Orchestras Live, he is passionate about making music available and accessible to the community.​

Tim Pope

Tim, our Treasurer, is a Commercial Accountant with extensive experience in the telecoms sector. He holds a Masters in Music from the OU and is a keen amateur pianist. He has lived in Hackney for over 40 years and has long been a supporter of local music activities. â€‹
