Welcome to Hackney Music Live, a charity dedicated to bringing the magic of live music to the vibrant borough of Hackney. For over three decades, we have been putting on world-class concerts, gracing some of Hackney's most enchanting and historic venues. Among our favourites are Sutton House, an architectural Tudor treasure built in 1535, and St Mary's Old Church, an intimate arts venue dating back to 1563. These unique venues provide the backdrop for our concerts, providing memorable experiences for all. We proudly maintain close partnerships with both Sutton House and The Old Church.

Our concerts feature an eclectic mix of music from across history, showcasing both established international artists and emerging talents. We have had the pleasure of hosting illustrious names such as the Fitzwilliam Quartet, Schubert Ensemble, Kreutzer Quartet, Joanna MacGregor, Consortium5, Peter Donohoe, Solem Quartet, Lodestar Trio, Fiona Campbell, Ensemble Bash, and many more. These are a testament to our commitment to providing high-quality musical experiences that enrich the cultural fabric of Hackney.​

Our organisation is led by a dedicated team of music-loving Hackney people. Our mission is to deliver exciting live music events, ensuring our community has access to high-quality, accessible, and engaging musical experiences. We frequently offer opportunities to 'meet the artists', fostering a deeper connection between performers and audiences. ​We strive to keep ticket prices affordable, relying on income from ticket sales and generous sponsorship from other charities and local businesses. Our goal is to make these experiences accessible to as many people as possible, to break down barriers, and ensure that everyone in our community can enjoy the transformative power of live music.​​​
